Sizzlin' Place

A nice restaurant in haven city market rancho cucamonga. The sizzling plates are really hot and nice. I had the deluxe plate and rice plate. Steak was very tender and it’s served medium but after the sizzling has gone it become well done. The fish belly rice plate was totally worth trying. The belly was so tender and rice was properly seasoned with sauce. Sides and drinks are extras but I think the portion of the main dishes are already pretty big for me. Quick and lovely service.

The udon spicy shrimp was my favorite. It come with a cajun spicy butter that you spread all over the plate. So good. The steak steak an Salmon taste so rich and soft. The salmon is more on the fishy side with good seasoning. The plates come super hot so be care picking them up. They put hot caution signs around the plates so you know. The tonkatsu is super good. Cooked right with a soft inside and crisp outside. the potato croquette was the big surprise. That was delicious. I recommend the spicy shrimp aglio olio. People were stopping to see what I was eating it smelled so good

They’re called “Sizzlin Place” for a reason, and they are definitely sizzlin’. I took my siblings out to lunch on Saturday. Being that they’re picky, I decided to take them to a food haul so they can choose what they want to eat. Parking: Free parking lot. Plenty of spots and easy to find. Ambiance/Environment: This spot is located inside Haven City Market. When you enter through the main entrance, go straight and it’ll be on the right. Love the open space. There’s limited seating. The seats and tables were nice and clean. Service: Shout out to Abbie! You’d order via the kiosk. She was very knowledgeable about the menu and gave us good recommendations to try. My siblings surprisingly wanted to eat here too. We appreciated her assistance & explanation with the menu. What we ordered: 1) Chicken Katsu (appetizer) - This isn’t your usual chicken Katsu. They use a different breading. Their version was still crispy but had more flavors. It sat on a bed of chopped lettuce and served with rice on the side. 2) Aji Fry Fish - The crunch on the first bite was unbelievable. Don’t worry, there’s no bone. This was also served on a bed of lettuce and mayo dipping sauce. 3) Deluxe Diced Cut Steak & Salmon - Careful for the sizzle! This was served on a hot plate. You might get occasional oil splashes lol. This dish came with steak, salmon, corn, carrots, and green beans. The steak was cooked medium rare (my fav), the salmon was cooked well, and the sides tasted as usual. The flavors were bland, but it was fun to eat. 4) Teriyaki Grill Fish Belly - Again, careful for the sizzle! This was also served on a hot plate. The fish was cooked well, and they were not shy with the teriyaki sauce! Make sure to completely break the rice and mix everything together. There’s more seasoning in the rice! 5) Udon Spicy Shrimp Plate - Careful for the sizzle x3! The presentation was on point. The shrimps were medium sized and seasoned well. It wasn’t as spicy as I’d like but still delicious. Make sure to melt the butter while the plate is still hot and mix everything, so the udon isn’t too dry. 6) Mango Strawberry Iced Black Tea w/ Lychee Jelly - Don’t miss out on the drinks! Before my sister slurped this entire drink, I was able to take a sip. This was absolutely refreshing! The strawberry came through! 7) Cold Brew Passion Fruit Iced Green Tea w/ Strawberry Popping Boba - This was my favorite! You can really taste the green tea still. Not too sweet. The popping boba was fun to eat. Pricing: Of course, prices are $$$ in a food haul like this. My siblings and I really enjoyed the sizzlin’ hot plates, the flavors of each dish, and refreshing drinks.

Glad that they have a place like this inside Haven City! After have pepper lunch, this is one of the places we love going to which has the hot plate with the beef, corn, butter goodness. I wish they would have the cheese included with the dish but ya. So each time I have came here, it has been quite easy. You can just order from a self ordering touch menu. You do everything there and checkout. It is quite simple as they will send you a text message when your order is ready. This way I dont have to carry a pager, so many of the restaurants around has. They have a regular and a large size beef plate that I discovered, and from now on we will go for the large. It is only a few bucks more, but worth it. I have yet to try other food here, but they have a ton of variety. I would not know where to start. I believe just remember if you do get a hot plate, they would appreciate it if you bring it back to them. Can’t wait to try some other food as well! Until next time!

What I Ordered: Salmon Hot Plate, Cold Brew Green Tea, Lychee Cold Brew Tea, Chicken Kaarage with Noodle Soup, Homemade Spring Onion Pancake, Pork and Chive Gyoza Located in Haven City Market, this family owned restaurant serves a huge array of hot plates, izakaya dishes,and noodles. They also are the only restaurant in Haven City Market that serves cold brew tea and has a self order kiosk! Their food is homemade and super fresh! They even make their own butter for their hot plates. They make the batter for their chicken kaarage from scratch and triple fry their chicken to make sure it is as crispy as it can be. If you’re a big fan of crispy rice, you’ll love the hot plates because the rice gets nice and crispy on the bottom. They also have so much flavor and they really are just the perfect bite of food. This is probably my favorite hot plate restaurant so far! I love that they have green onion pancakes as well because they are one of my childhood favorite snacks! I’ve never had pork and chive Gyoza before but I really loved the fragrant taste of these! And of course, chicken kaargae is a must order whenever I see it. You can get it with by itself, with rice, or with noodles. This is only a small portion of their vast menu so I cannot wait to come back and try even more! The owner, Casey, is also the absolute sweetest and really does the most for his customers so I definitely recommend checking out this spot! IG: @kristys.kravings

Sizzlin Place has been open since 2019 and is one of the pioneers in Haven City Market. They offer sizzling plates, yummy appetizers, cold freshly brewed fruit teas! If you ever want sizzling plates, or in Rancho Cucamonga area at all , you need to try them! Honestly wayyyyy better than Pepper Lunch! Our food of choice: For Teas: 1 Lychee Tea with Lychee Jelly! Soo goood we ordered another one to go! You can never have too much lychee! 2. Pomegranate Tea- with the mango popping pearls was an amazing combo Appetizer while we waited for our food: Tempura shrimp- perfectly fried shrimp in flour batter, dipped in soy sauce was a good choice for the kids! They have so many choices for appetizers, pretty sure you'll love their selection! Sizzlin Plates 1 Teriyaki Shrimp and salmon- with a good amount of meat and veggies sizzling in a hot plate - this is great for the heart eaters come with rice separate to make enough space for you entree 2 Hot Beef Plate- perfect sizzling plate with peppered beef and corn is an ultimately kid approved! 3 Udon Plate with salmon- newly added udon plates are so amazing! Chef's secret sauce with chili flakes, has a nice kick to it and you will definitely love! Need to try the shrimp udon plate next when I come back for sure!

Great HOT Delicious Food.!! We Ordered The Hot Plate Beef with Rice, Egg, and Curry. Came Out Sizzling Hot..!! We Also Ordered Their Side Order Shrimp Tempura and Pork Tonkatsu. Both Were Good. I Will Recommend Their Drink, The Cold Brew Pineapple/Lemon Iced Oolong Tea

I really enjoyed my experience at Sizzlin' Place. I had the karaage donburi (fried chicken) and a bowl of spicy ramen, and both were delicious. Everything was prepared exactly how I would have wanted it to be. The chicken was crispy, and the ramen was flavorful, with just the right amount of spice. There are a ton of choices at Haven City Market, and it's easy to feel pressure to make a good choice. This was definitely a good choice for me.
